How often, and for how long, should you meditate?
There is no right answer except to choose an amount of time that’s realistic for you. One minute of meditation, if it’s all you’re ready for, is still deeply beneficial if you do it as a daily practice. Every day is the key. For new meditators, I recommend committing to 5 minutes per day at first. Work your way up from there. My own practice varies from five minutes to an hour, daily, but my typical meditation lasts for about thirty minutes. What’s important is doing it as a regular commitment.
